But if that is the case surly they should have planned in advance and said what they were been forced to do. In other words go in all guns blazing, and not apologetically as they seem to be with this "planned a year ago" bs.
It is a big play, I am sure if the Government wanted to they could say the money given to Barnardos was on the understanding that they provide a year-round, 52 week service, so therefore they can sing dixey for their next grant.
Fergus must be VERY confident he still is best palls with the Labor part of the troika branch office and that they will stand up for their buddy if the Fine Gael dog growls.
I suspect he has miscalculated.
The troika sub-office might make an example of him and Barnardos. They might see, down the line Hospitals closing for the same rational as Barnardos.
No, overall I think it is better to state your intentions and as I said, go in "all guns blazing". Maybe Fergus is trying to be a tad to clever. Time will tell.
