Girls aren't always what they seem, KB.The girl who was putting up Assange on his lecture visit seemed more of an infatuated political groupie than a cold character assassin.
A 17 year old arrested in Ireland today, according to RTE for "Malicious tweeting" of a remark to an Irish Olympic team member called Daly - the tweet said "your father must be ashamed of you."
Outrageous over-reaction by the Gardaí?
Also, Twitter deleted the account of a London journalist who had been critical of NBC's Olympic coverage.
NBC has a commercial partnership with Twitter at the Olympics.
Beeb says the athlete is British, called Daley, and a 17 year old was arrested in Weymouth?

Rio Ferdinand's itchy tweet finger has landed him in trouble
http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/...321155980.htmlIn the aftermath of the trial, when Terry was acquitted of racially abusing Ferdinand’s brother Anton, the Manchester United defender responded to a Tweet that characterised Chelsea defender Ashley Cole, who was a defence witness in the trial, as a “choc-ice”.
The term is is commonly understood to mean “black on the outside, white on the inside”, and was a reference to Cole’s testimony in court, in which he said he never heard Terry make a racist remark to Ferdinand during the match in question at Loftus Road in October.
- Friends of the Irish Environment, 28.04.2003"The land Coillte Teo is now selling for development was given to them by the State in 1988 to ensure that our woodlands were run commercially, not to enable them to sell the family silver to service bank loans".
The younglad was an attention seeking little **** and there was a big campaign to get him banned yesterday.
Next week the police will be hunting for someone who failed to 'like' their schoolfriend's Facebook status.. Morons...
Boycott Chiquita
The arrest is an outrageous attack on free speech by the police. There seems to be an agenda in the UK, to slowly move towards a China style regime on matters of free speech.
I would suggest that the teenager sue the police for false arrest (or "malicious" arrest). Brits need to stop this kind of police state crap before it becomes normalised.
