So should I turn things around and approve of all of this because pussy Riot got two years? I don't think so.

Cutting people's hands off is disproportionate, jailing people for spitting chewing gum is disproportionate, jailing people for protesting inside a church is disproportionate. It's all disproportionate and I have every right to point it out.

And I have no problem with "if you can't do the time don't do the crime." It's a good maxim. It doesnt affect, however, whether a particular punishment dished out is justified or not.

Well, the chainsaw wielding Amazon hardly supports your argument as that "provocation" came in the wake of the two year sentences.

I am not sure if support from FEMEN does the cause of Pussy Riot much good at all. FEMEN are not all that popular in their own country.
