Gorillas are at risk of extinction in central Africa within 10 years. The more tricks they have in the book, the better.

Animals are a lot more resourceful than we give them credit for but this behaviour is astonishing. I read before about the New Caledonian Crow using tools (http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/20...ew-crow-tools/) but this is astounding. The gorillas know how the traps work and its not the first time the rangers have said they have probably dismantled the traps ....
