Default What search engine do you use?

Having been a Google Chrome user for two years I am now alternating between Opera and Internet Explorer. I was getting sick of Chrome freezing and for a week it couldn't find my profile so when I went to my regular sites it didn't have my usernames/email addresses. Uninstalled and then reinstalled but still the same problem 'profile could not be found' despite reinstalling it. So alternating at the moment between Opera and Internet Explorer. Opera can be fast and slow. Internet Explorer is reliable. I don't know why I switched from Internet Explorer to Chrome in the first place.

So what search engine/engines do you use?

Hi Maximus, are they not web browsers as opposed to search engines?

Have been using Comodo Dragon for a while now as my main web browser and have few complaints with it so far although in recent months it has started to update itself more frequently which is a bit of a pain but not one that annoys me too much....yet.

It's based on the same sort of platform as Google Chrome so is pretty familiar and easy to use.

I used to use Firefox for along time but in my opinion that went from being fast, reliable and easy to use to trying to compete with IE and releasing update after update with varying degrees of success and stability, and increased use of resources which I was trying to avoid.

Tried Opera which I liked as it had some great features that I haven't seen on other browsers but my PC is pretty ancient and slow which didn't really make it very compatible with Opera for some reason or perhaps it was just me.

I thought that myself and have a slow connection but if you enable Opera Turbo on the bottom left it runs much faster. I do have a problem with Opera tho in that fails to remember usernames/email addresses for sites so I'll probably be using Internet Explorer full on soon.

SRWare Iron. It works really well with less interruptions and tracking than Google.

    Installation-ID

A copy of Google Chrome includes a generated installation number which will be sent to Google after the installation and the first usage. It gets deleted when Chrome checks first time for updates. If Chrome is received as part of a promotional campaign, it may generate a unique promotion number which is sent to Google on the first run and first use of Google Chrome.

The User-Agent in Iron can be flexiblel and permanently changed by UA.ini.

I'm Firefox, born and bred, and I use Alta Vista - before Google became omnipresent Alta Vista was THE search engine. Yahoo owns Alta Vista now.

Mozilla Firefox is good and efficient but it doesn't have back or forward buttons.

Try doing a right-click up near where you'd close your browser and select Customize.
Then you should be able to drag the back/forward buttons onto your top toolbar from the wee window that appears.

I used Firefox for a long time until a few months ago when inexplicably it would not play any videos on YouTube or any other site. I tried a lot of things to fix the problem but gave up after they were all unsuccessful and I switched to using Internet Explorer and Google Chrome and I have no problems with either. I never registered with Google Chrome so I do not have an account with them but I use it only for browsing.
