Govt provide annual grants to FAI, time for them to insist on salary reduction on Delaney to approx 90/100k, he was an accountant in a cash n carry and would barely get that amount now, anytime Delaney wants to test the job market, let him go ahead.
He runs the FAI like a dictatorship, very few would dare go against him, he has all the votes in his pocket.
IRFU also need to do something as the FAI/Delaney aint going to come up with their end of package on LR.
FAI are €64 mio. in debt so this must worry the IRFU. Delaney's counterparts in Spain and Italy can point to 6 years of success in international football but he can't even pay the manager of the Irish team out of FAI funds. And one must question his judgement in extending Trappatoni's contract before the Euro 2012 championship took place.
