I wonder if Enda will wear his special tie when meeting Obama and "announcing" that Ryanair are buying 14,000,000,000 worth of planes from Boeing.

It's not clear whether Ryanair will acquire the 737-800 or Boeing's new 'Max' model. The booking would be one of Boeing's largest ever and presumably mark the end a feud that goes back to 2009 over a collapsed order.

The meeting of the Employment and Social Policy Council (EPSCO) discussed priorities for action on job rich recovery include helping people back to work and modernising labour markets. Minister Bruton co-chaired the meeting with Minister for Social Protection, Joan Burton TD. Employment Ministers also met with Council President Van Rompuy to discuss how a well-functioning Economic and Monetary Union requires a genuine social dimension.
