I wonder if Enda will wear his special tie when meeting Obama and "announcing" that Ryanair are buying 14,000,000,000 worth of planes from Boeing.

Bit of a snub to the EU's Airbus, which would be embarassing if Enda was capable of joining the dots

Boeing has reportedly received an $18B order from Dublin-based Ryanair in a deal that is set to be confirmed next week, when Irish Taoiseach Enda Kenny visits the White House. It's not clear whether Ryanair will acquire the 737-800 or Boeing's new 'Max' model. The booking would be one of Boeing's largest ever and presumably mark the end a feud that goes back to 2009 over a collapsed order.

Minister Bruton co-chaired the meeting with Minister for Social Protection, Joan Burton TD. Employment Ministers also met with Council President Van Rompuy to discuss how a well-functioning Economic and Monetary Union requires a genuine social dimension.

Lucinda is on Radio 1 singing the praises of our EU Presidency.

Lucinda says we (we is the EU in her eyes) want better spending and not more spending.

Boyd-Barrett is counter arguing, saying it was a waste of money and nothing changed. Stability, Growth and Jobs were the aims. None have been achieved. Lucinda says that the "building blocks" have been put in place.

"Sense of confidence" we (we is Ireland now) have contributed to is good.

Is this irritating hingel still around? There is no gender bias in gibbering twit politicians. They come from all sexes.
