The debate is whether it is homosexuality or homosexual prostitution that is denounced.

Some guy who fell on the road to Damascus who was probably concussed & suffering from sunstroke at the time & maybe never recovered doesn't like homosexuals, or possibly homosexual prostitutes, & the 3rd book of the Hebrew Bible has a similar denouncement of homosexuals, or possibly homosexual prostitution, & both are used to castigate, persecute & eradicate homosexuals by billions of devoted adherents for centuries.

If we are going to denounce homosexuals it should be for much more sensible & relevant reasons such as they dress better & are more animated & verbose than the majority of us.

Thing about some of those Pauline epistles is they are translated from much earlier versions & the translation is quite liberal even if the sentiment is extremely conservative.

That would be a great sub-title for the Bible:

There is a case that a lot of the bible was mistranslated. The bible was translated from Aramaic to Greek and Latin and then further on into various other languages from Greel and Latin and not from its mother tonuge. Chinese whispers best describes what may have happened and things have become mistranslated over time.

Yep! This and Gilmore's other noises in the last week or two were him trying to reconnect with the members. Buckets of disgruntlement against the leader and HQ in Labour right now from the party members.

The PLP meeting was held without any staff or handlers present, just TDs and Senators. It had been demanded by Joanna Tuffy and other TDs and Gilmore was forced to concede. After the battering he took at the other two senior boards of the party, he really need to keep a grip on the PLP meeting, hence the noises.
