Default Eugene Moloney Irish Journalist RIP

Sorry to hear of the untimely death of Irish journalist Eugene Moloney, apparently due to a street attack.

He was from Belfast originally and had worked for the irish News, the Independent and as a freelance for the Irish Mail.

A terrible matter. I lived on Camden Street for a while in the 1980s and often would have walked it late at night. It seems to me that the city has become much more unsafe.

Discussion on Joe Duffy - some people calling in suggest that the city centre as a whole is unsafe.

I don't get in to the centre at weekends that much. Has it really changed from very drunk to very drunk and nasty in the last couple of years?

Eugene Moloney was a gentle giant and a great loss to the country and all his relatives and friends. RIP

    RIP

A tragic event and a reflection on society in Ireland as a whole.
