What do we want?
When do we want it?
What will we achieve? - Nowt.
There will be a referendum only if it's constitutionally unavoidable regardless of whether people march up and down making noise.
The correct date in the thread title might help combat the air of the Quixotic.
Firstly people should know that they cannot expect any consistently big numbers at a protest here. Secondly we would just approve any referendum anyways as we're a nation of yes men.
Thank you. Not sure where the Wed. came from and Tues. is certainly the 19th.
I would suggest that anyone planning to travel to this check directly with the Peoples' Movement.

In the year running up to the Arab Spring there was nothing but small pickets of 1-20 people.
The Egyptians put up with Mubarak for 30 years.
People by and large are obliged to get on with their day to day lives, and give time to friends and families. It takes a lot for them to move from that into being political and active, and even then, the dinners still have to be paid for and the babbies washed.
Doing the leg work, organisation, analysis, developing alternatives is important, in the meantime.
