Odd, watching a documentary on tv now and it seems as if various fanatical religions are united in condeming homosexuality.

If only they could be as united in condemning brutality.

Its extraordinary that the one thing all religions have in common is their intrusive and dominating interest in the sex lives of people, regardless of the religion of the individual, if we are sleeping with the wrong 'sort' we are in trouble.

It has to be to do with reproducing but imo its enough to put anyone off, particularly if in due course the mother to be is held down and has her pubic bone broken without anasthetic. There must have been a period when the invasion was almost complete. The good news is that for most of us that is no longer the case!

A B'Tselem video volunteer documented an Israeli Border Police officer kicking a Palestinian child while another officer held the boy. The incident took place on the 29th of June 2012 near the Tomb of the Patriarchs, in Hebron's H2 area. The child, Abd a-Rahman Burqan, who is nine years old, lives with his family near the parking lot used by Israeli vehicles outside of the Tomb. The video shows a Border Police officer ambushing a child from around the corner. As the child walks past, the officer grabs him by the arm and says: "why are you making trouble?" The officer then drags the child, who is screaming, on the ground for a few seconds. A second Border Police officer then appears and kicks the boy. The officer then lets the child go. He runs away, and the two Border Police officers leave the scene as well. The incident was filmed by a volunteer in B'Tselem's camera distribution project, from inside his home. The volunteer told B'Tselem that he began to film when he noticed the officer hiding behind the wall. B'Tselem will refer the case to the Justice Ministry's Department for the Investigation of Police.

I was reminded of this gem from the Israeli Ambassador's bio when rereading your OP. I can see why Ambassador Modai may have felt it incumbent on him to accept the honor of a post in Dublin.

Boaz Modai, Head of the Instruction Branch in the Foreign Ministry, admitted to harassing a woman in his office, police told Ynet Wednesday.

The man's former employee submitted a complaint to Jerusalem police, after receiving late-night hang-ups from an unidentified phone number for several weeks.

Police opened an investigation and discovered that the anonymous caller was Modai. According to one police source, he admitted to the calls, explaining that the woman had spread a rumor that he had been having an affair.

This had cost him many sleepless nights, he said, and thus "there was no reason for the complainant to sleep well."
