Kettle on, beer in the fridge, pizza in the freezer.

This is tedious so far. So tedious that Italy are the more attacking team. Spain playing with no strikers and six midfielders. The possession stuff is pretty but ultimately pointless. Iniesta is Spain's attacking threat but Italy not seriously threatened yet.

I was going to have a bet on England to win the Euros, just so their passage through would be less sickening. My daughter made me promise I wouldn't, so I won't.

14/1 with PP, are they that bad?

Yes they are. Hodgson is a worthy type and difficult to dislike but he has only been there for a short time. The squad has been hit by a lot of injuries and the debate has all been about Rio Ferdinand being "disrespected" by being left out of the squad.

Hodgson's mistake was not leaving out Ferdinand but bringing Terry. It was time to move on the pair of them.

A Dail Eireann XI would give them a good game

    I'm younger than a goal-scorer in the 2012 euros

    Happy me!

I think if Spain are going to play Torres up front they should set up slightly differently......................................b y not putting Torres on the team.

Had the misfortune of depending on the BBC and ITV to see the games so far and I have to say the level of xenophobia from commentators and pundits has been sickening. Snide comments relating to generalised national traits and references to history, always with a superior tone are making them harder to listen to than usual. Lost count of the STFUs I have issued towards the corner of the living room.

Couple of ex-Republic players as guilty as any btw.
