This is a report mentioning the study. http://www.foodmanufacture.co.uk/Foo...M-cancer-study The study is being assessed and debated by a number of different institutions and bodies. It may or may not make it with credibility through this process.

The study, at the University of Caen, is reported to show that rats fed with Roundup and Roundup resistant GM maize got a lot more cancers plus kidney and liver damage.

Monsanto did not dismiss it out of hand - they will have to look at it carefully.

I doubt Monsanto is in a position to dismiss any study otherwise its seen as sweeping it under the carpet and so the findings must be correct. Unfortunately for Monsanto they are seen as the great evil even by people who vaguely heard of GM. If I can quote the comment made below that article because its an interesting point

Why on earth would you conduct such study on rats (Sprague-Dawley) that have a "natural" cancer incidence of 42-62% in females and 34% in males?

All the study shows is that Roundup and NK603 maize do not reduce the occurence of cancer in these cancer-prone rats.

The study is being debated at length - snippets from one side or another are not very informative.
