Default Phil Hogan and Hare Coursing

Not content with shafting misery upon the population through the household charges, Phil Hogan attended a hare course meeting in Kilkenny recently. At the end of the event , Minister Hogan presented a trophy to the winners of the coursing event but does Phil know that at this particular event that two hares died as a result of the hare coursing activities that night? Irish Council at Bloodsports website says
Meanwhile his ministerial colleague, Phil Hogan, was present at a coursing meeting in Sevenhouses, Kilkenny, where over the two days of coursing, 12 hares were struck by greyhounds, with one being killed and one put down because of its injuries. Minister Hogan was filmed presenting a trophy to coursing fans after the meeting

What does this mean for Minister Hogans stance on hare coursing?
They may crush the flowers, and trample every living thing but they cant stop the spring..

Hare coursing is cruel and sadistic, don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
The fact that the man responsible for the household charge turns up at some bloody neolithic ritual surprises me not.
The guy won't even pay the household charge himself, he's a bona fide boghopping hypocrite.
Just shake your head, that's what I do.

I am not surprised either, this is the calibre of minister that we have that he sees fit to attend such an event . Im going to e mail his office and see what he has to say for himself, I imagine not a lot and I either will get a reply ten months down the line or none at all so I wouldnt want to be holding my breath....

This guy is a 100% arse! But I did not expect anything different from such a clown. He probably thinks that this is sport.

No , Minister, sport in your part of the world is best exemplified by Brian Cody and the Kilkenny hurling tradition. Coursing is not sport.

Hogan believes apparently is a legitimate rural pursuit (http://banharecoursinginireland.over-blog.com/). Watching an animal suffer sadistically is a rural pastime? The Maquis de Sade next for minister for Environment? Nothing as frustrating as watching idiots in government....Do I seem angry today?

Typical Hogan the creatures nothing more than a bully and a thug in a suit. Pursuing and torturing a helpless animal is just about his level, that he thinks its sport says all anyone needs to know about him.
