I've read about this. Not good. But NICE also sets out the timescales within which people who have symptoms should be seen. Susie Long would very likely not have died if she had got her tests within the short timescale prescribed by NICE.

TG4 is showing a documentary on Susie Long at the moment.

Cathy Durkan died last week. She was the young woman with melanoma who campaiged for access to ipilumabab.
