Yates has been awarded his costs against AIB in the bankruptcy case.

There's a good case to be made for AIB paying the costs into his loan account. He would get the benefit as his debt would be reduced and the taxpayer would have a small win as well.
Just a bit off topic but it's interesting to see that according to the SBP Alan Shatter is in touch with the British and EU regulators because he's very concerned about Irish people declaring bankruptcy there.
He didn't seem very worried about it a couple of years back.
It looks like AIB aren't going to get anything more from Yates.
Wonder is there any substance to the rumour that he's coming back to Newstalk in the autumn when he's discharged from bankruptcy?
http://www.irishexaminer.com/busines...ip-229288.htmlDocuments lodged with the Companies Office during the course of the receivership of the former minister’s betting business show that AIB has received a total of €1.9 million from the receivership.
Documents lodged by receiver, Neil Hughes show that AIB received €1.5m in the first six months of the receivership in 2011 and the bank received a further €400,000 during the first six months of last year.
However, a receiver extract recently lodged with the Companies Registration Office confirms that AIB had no monies transferred to it during the final six months of last year.
The Government are just afraid there wont be enough work for the new quango. Nobody in their right mind would go through that "insolvency process".
