AntiSec have just published a list of 1,000,000 ID's for I-phones and IPads. The published list itself doesn't really mean much, however, the boys and girls of AntiSec tells us it is part of a database containing over 12,000,000 entries, including names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. etc.
And the real sting in the tail.

AntiSec claim to have hacked a rather poorly protected FBI laptop on which they found the list.
Question; what is the FBI doing with a list containing the private details of over 12 million Apple customers?
Both the FBI and Apple are staying very quiet...

The case is somewhat different, Svartholm Warg is a convicted criminal.

And he can't be "extradited" as no treaty regarding extradition exists between Sweden and Cambodia.

How to figure out if you've been hacked. Given that it was an FBI file, it should in theory affect only US devices, but you never know.

During the second week of March 2012, a Dell Vostro notebook, used by Supervisor Special Agent Christopher K. Stangl from FBI Regional Cyber Action Team and New York FBI Office Evidence Response Team was breached using the AtomicReferenceArray vulnerability on Java, during the shell session some files were downloaded from his Desktop folder one of them with the name of ”NCFTA_iOS_devices_intel.csv” turned to be a list of 12,367,232 Apple iOS devices including Unique Device Identifiers (UDID), user names, name of device, type of device, Apple Push

This where you key in the UDID of your IPhone/IPad, and they'll run it against the database and see if you're affected.

The British computer hacker Gary McKinnon is not to be sent to stand trial in the United States, on human rights grounds, the home secretary, Theresa May, has announced.

She said that there was such a high risk of McKinnon, 46, who has Asperger's syndrome and suffers from depressive illness, ending his life that it was incompatible with his human rights.
