An Irish policeman's email blunder led to the spectacular leak of a sensitive conference call between the FBI and Scotland Yard....The cop which made the blunder could be either Paul Gillen and Colm Gallagher and neither is saying anything to the media

Antisec hackers hit US police store after FBI arrests
'Hackers identifying themselves with the Antisec movement have attacked the site of a company that sells equipment to US law enforcers such as the police.
A message posted over New York Ironwork's homepage said it was a "tribute to Jeremy Hammond".
Mr Hammond has been accused of being involved in an attack on the think tank Stratfor last year and was arrested in Chicago on Monday.
This marks the second breach explicitly linked to the FBI's swoop.'

Think National. Act Local. Oh- and superstition is just the dark matter of human history.
Big companies are continuing to mount "Denial of Service Attacks" on my home internet connection. They are sending a never ending stream of pop-up ads to my computer which is degrading my internet connection, causing considerable financial damage to me.
I would like the Gardai to arrest the directors of these companies, for these hacking attacks and threaten them with 124 years in jail unless they participate in sting operations against other big companies engaged in pop-up advert attacks.
Its only fair, because we cant have one law for students and another for company directors.

http://www.informationweek.com/news/...acks/232602226People drawn to computer security often gravitate to it at a young age - the indictment says Martyn is 25 but local Irish newspapers say he is 5 or 6 years younger than that - and they test their theories by breaking into places they shouldn't. Many respected professionals were once offensive hackers as teens but stopped before they ran into real trouble.
Businesses aren't the only organizations getting caught out by poor security practices. One of the Anonymous and LulzSec-related indictments unsealed Tuesday in federal court recounts how Irish citizen Donncha O'Cearrbhail (aka palladium, amongst other handles) approached LulzSec leader Sabu via chat, using the nickname "anonsacco," and offered information about the Serious Organized Crime Agency (SOCA) in the United Kingdom that was investigating hacktivist groups. "Hey mate," he said. "Would you like a recording of a call between SOCA and the FBI regarding anonymous and lulzsec?"
Unbeknownst to O'Cearrbhail, Sabu--really, 28-year-old Hector Xavier Monsegur, an unemployed former LimeWire employee and foster father of two who lived in New York--had been arrested in June 2011 and agreed to work for the FBI as an informant. Referred to in the indictment as "CW," Sabu lured crucial details from O'Cearrbhail, such as how he'd managed to hack a cross-Atlantic conference call.
"I just got into the iCloud for the head of a national police cybercrime unit," anonsacco said to Sabu on January 9, 2012, via chat. "I have all his contacts and can track his location 24/7." In other words--if his boast was to be believed--he'd owned Ireland's top cyber cop, thanks to the cop having forwarded his work emails to a Gmail account, which he used his iPhone to check.
According to the indictment, O'Cearrbhail's access wasn't minimal: "It appears that in or about January 2012 there were a total of 146 instances in which an individual using the VPN service Perfect Privacy obtained unauthorized access to the Compromised Gmail Accounts." (In response to a question from Sabu about how he disguised his identity, Palladium confirmed that he used Perfect Privacy.)

Quite possible that much of LulzSec's activity comes under that heading. I'm not suggesting that the Irish hackers were in any way consciously acting for the FBI or similar.
The so-called Stratfor hack appears in probability to have taken place after the FBI had arrested a number of hackers concerned.
Took a look at the NY court records for Darren Martyn and Donncha O’Cearrbhail specifically. Did not have time for Monsegur. Not a lot of info yet that has not already been published. Although both are listed as being parties to two separate but related cases, i.e four different case numbers, there are currently “no documents” for either of the O’Cearrbhail cases. I can’t provide links because it is a restricted access site, but anyone can gain access by setting up an account. It requires a credit card to set up the account, and fees are $0.08 per page but as long as your usage remains below $10 per quarter there is no charge, so the first 125 pages are free, then, you accumulate charges at $0.08 per page. If anyone wants to follow the cases the information below will help.
The system is called PACER----Public Access to Court Electronic Records. It provides nationwide access to the Federal—not State---Court system.

The case numbers for O’Cearrbhail are:
A) USA V. O’Cearrbhail 1:12-mj-00609-ua........... Filed 03-05-12
B) USA V. O’Cearrbhail 1: 12-mj-00609-ua-1........Filed 03-05-12
For Martyn:
A) USA V. Ackroyd et al 1:12-cr-00185-ua........... Filed 02-27-12
B) USA V. Ackroyd et al 1:12-cr-00185-ua-3........ Filed 02-27-12

I was talking to a chap late last night who may or may not have an interest in hacking.
Only an academic interest, I stress.
Anyway, he believes the hacker groups need to take a risk by somehow keeping a file or some record of their activities as some of them are fearful that they'll be fitted up for embezzlement or some crime of personal gain involving bank accounts to discredit them.

The UK is proceeding with the extradition of Richard O Dwyer to the american rape gulag. What is accused of is not even a crime in the UK.
http://torrentfreak.com/pirating-uk-...the-us-120313/Richard O’Dwyer, the UK-based ex-administrator of the video linking website TVShack will be extradited to the US to face copyright infringement charges. Despite public outrage Home Secretary Theresa May approved the extradition order today. The 23-year-old student has never visited United States, but now faces several years in a US prison.
