Everyone agrees there have been numerous cycles of climate change in the past.
This one is different in that it is caused by human activity, whereas the others were not.
Everyone agrees there have been numerous cycles of climate change in the past.
This one is different in that it is caused by human activity, whereas the others were not.
So this one is 'special' then?
So climate changes that are caused by meteor showers, super volcanoes, forest fires, ice-ages, solar flares or whatever are ok,but the one caused by a bunch of bi-peds burning stuff that is on the planet anyway is somehow magical?
But not pleasant magic in a 'Charmed' way, it is magic akin to the wicked witch of the west.
.....It hasn't been proved that the current changes in the world's climate have been caused by humans ........ nor has it been proved that previous cathestropic changes in world climate were not caused by humans ........ unless of course ..... God has been annoyed more than once by man's sinfulness .![]()

That flood was pretty severe.
Interestingly, almost ever ancient society had a tale that involved a worldwide flood.
What this indicates is that floods happened many thousands of years ago in many different parts of the planet at different times.
The ancients attributed these floods to the whims of their creator deities.
When floods happen now moderns blame climate change/global warming.

I posted that on a thread recently.
If I remember correctly from a weather point of view he is responsible for flood & heatwave.
There are your elements of climate change straight away.
It is atheism that is causing this climate change.
".....It hasn't been proved that the current changes in the world's climate have been caused by humans "
It has been proved, about as strongly as has evolution.
Doubtless you don't accept that that has been proved either.

Welcome to PW's very own Tea Party members, Riposte, and Monetpenny. Y'all are a hoot.

Aren't things going a bit off topic?
I thought this thread was about Michael D's rant - of which I am justly proud.

Well he's certainly very independent minded in his thinking and don't forget he was ready to refer the bill introducing the fiscalpact to the courts if there was no referendum(we wouldve voted yes anyways but it shows someone is independent minded). Personally I think he's the only politician I'd trust.
Heard this clip on the radio again at the weekend & still don't see why so many people are so proud of his outburst.
He clearly had lost his composure, went off on a confused tangent towards the end & then resorted to profanity in an effort to play to the gallery.
MrsMonetpenny hadn't heard it before & she thought it was a spoof by 'Gift Grub', 'Nob Nation' or the like.
To clarify I don't believe in the myth of Creationism, ironically something I feel I have to clarify as the climate change adherents seem to believe that if I don’t believe in one myth I must believe in another unrelated myth.
Yet there are many that want Creationism taught as science.
I don't believe that Jesus even existed. He is a myth.
But he is also taught as a historical fact in our schools.
Likewise, I don't believe in man-made climate change, something which I also believe is a scientific myth.
Science & myths have gone hand-in-hand for millennia.
For example it was a scientific fact that the earth was the centre of the universe & god created everything in 6 days & rested on the Sabbath approx 6,500 years ago.
I've read supporters of this notion provide 'evidence' that proves the ‘science of creationism’.
It ranges from no recorded evidence of human civilisation until 4,500 BC & the many different languages that correspond with the Tower of Babel story.
'Scientists' have used 'evidence' for centuries to prove their viewpoint & their modern equivalent are environmentalists who propagate the myth of manmade climate change.
I just don't believe it.
