Bolt is extraordinary. I heard he has a ten foot stride, surely that must mean that in any race he has to take less steps. He just reaches! But, considering he says he hates training and doesn't do as much as he should, he is well muscled up.

Bolt definitely enjoyed himself post race!
Jamaican Usain Bolt reportedly celebrated his 100m triumph with three stunning beauties at his room in the Olympic Village.http://www.mid-day.com/sports/2012/a...ede-beauty.htmAccording to reports in the Swedish media, three members of Sweden’s Olympic handball team, Jamina Roberts, Ulrika Agren and Isabella Gullden, spent an hour-and-a-half in Bolt’s room after stopping Bolt’s coach and asking for his accreditation so they could congratulate the sprinter.

The Irish triathlon competitor says he didn't shave for two days before the event to avoid "losing energy growing it back". I jest not.
Given that he only managed to come 23rd, perhaps he should go for a 2 year ban on the blade if he's going for another attempt in 2016.

Olympic athletes asking "Where's the party?" when their event is over are getting a disappointing answer: It's probably in Ibiza.
London's famous party scene hasn't caught Olympic fever. In this recession Olympics, clubs and bars are faring no better than other businesses, regulars say. Corporate bashes are smaller. Celebrities are too expensive.
"London in general seems to be surprisingly quiet," said party promoter Amin Abbasian, noting that the social scene's normal clientele has left town "for Ibiza" or other popular getaways. Abbasian, who normally books celebrities for social events, decided not to do so during the London Games after realizing the investment wasn't going to pay back.
Athletes, though, are on the hunt nonetheless. They report the scene here doesn't compare with Beijing in 2008.
On Saturday night, dozens of swimmers crammed into the celebrity-favored London club Chinawhite, which relaxed its strict dress code to accommodate athletes in jeans and flip flops at its "Last Lap" Olympic party. Gold medalists, including South African Chad le Clos, who unseated Michael Phelps in the 200-meter butterfly, popped champagne. Some athletes showed their muscles to prove to partygoers they really were Olympians.Late Saturday night, Canadian rower Darcy Marquardt pulled out her freshly-earned silver medal and walked to one of the club's bars. "I'm gonna try to use it to get free drinks," said Marquardt, who was celebrating her third Olympics and her first medal. She scored a couple free shots but had to buy the rest—at £15, or $23-plus, per cocktail. "There was a lot more free booze in Beijing," she said.http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...sj_share_tweetAt the "House of Hellenes," the Greek house sponsored by the British Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, guests were invited to a chandelier-lit opera performance and round tables on the future of the Eurozone. Organizers were criticized for the splash's nearly $235,000 bill, which was privately funded. Still, they said they kept costs as low as possible.
"We did it in the most cost-effective way," said chamber President Harris Ikonomopoulos, noting that guests were served wine, albeit inexpensive wine.

"It is we the workers who built these palaces and cities here in Spain and in America and everywhere. We, the workers, can build others to take their place. And better ones! We are not in the least afraid of ruins. We are going to inherit the earth; there is not the slightest doubt about that. The bourgeoisie might blast and ruin its own world before it leaves the stage of history. We carry a new world here, in our hearts."
