iI woke up suddenly. I didn't know what was going on..(Homer)
So I decided to stand up (5)...
Then I saw her standing and I became angry (Spec....)

This rivetting tale of love, lust, deceit, betrayal, and redemption (of 5 year bonds) can be pursued on the thread. As Gaeilge of course.

I have pm'd Homer to ask if a teenchy translation might encourage others to contribute.

Give it a lash lads, and to hell with grammar. Occupy the Language!

Aontaíom go tréan le Spec maidir le aistriúchan Béarla agus táim buíoch dó as ucht a chómhairle.

Fáilte roimh cách chuig an feachtas seo

Má tá na rialacha gramadaigh caillte a'at, lean ar aghaidh gan bachaint leo

I agree strongly with Spec regarding the English translation and I am grateful for his/her advice.

Everybody is welcome to this effort

If you have forgotten the rules of ( Irish ) grammer, go ahead regardless

Mar sin, shocraigh mé chun seasamh
Ansin, chonaic me í, ina seasamh, agus tháinig fearg orm.........
Conas ar eírigh léi eochar an tigh a bheith aici tar éis an tréimhse fada seo? Nar ruaig mé as an áit í seacht mbliain ó shoin? Ach ni raibh eagla dá laghad ina iompar.............

[How did she manage to have the key to the house after so long? Didn't I run her out here seven years ago. But there was no sign of fear in her behaviour....]

[I hadn't seen my sister for seven years. What happened yesterday?]

Agus cén fath go raibh sí gléasta mar fear, mar áilteoir. Óinseach "Ceard atá ar siuil agat anois?"

[And why was she dressed as man, a clown. The idiot "What are you up to now?" I said]

'Cirque du Soleil' arsa sí ansin agus hauteur in guth. "Tá café agus croissants agam duit sa chistin. Dean deifir agus bí ciúin. "

['The circus is the life' said she (5)
And then she said 'Cirque du Soleil' with a haughty tone.
" I have coffee and croissants for you in the kitchen. Hurry up and be quiet]

"Tá go maith", ar mé, ag cur orm mo chóta go deifreach. "Chuala mé go mbeidh Merkel agus Sarkozy ag an sorcas, só ba cheart go mbeadh sé ina chraic!"

As go brách linn agus ní raibh stop, stad ná staonadh orainn nó gur shroich muid an sorcas.

Ach, a Mhaighdean! Dá bhfeicfeá céard a tharla ansin....

Bhí an t-iar-uachtarán na Gearmáine ann. Bhíodar a scaoileach as gunna mór, g,an aon sreang sabháilte

the former President of Germany was there. They were shooting him out of a large gun, without a safety net.
