Quinn's fan club zooms in like a shoal of piranhas whenever there any coverage of him in the media. Have a look at the comments beneath the Indo story of the €100k cake allegedly bought by the company for his daughter's wedding.

Junior's appeal commenced today.

Court should be interesting today
http://www.independent.ie/national-n...d-3248561.htmlIt is understood that the monies were not received by members of the Quinn family or Ms Woods, despite the terms and conditions in the contracts, which stipulated:
€36m termination payments for each of Mr Quinn's daughters, Aoife, Ciara and Colette Quinn;
€26m termination payments and an annual salary of €221,947 for Peter Darragh Quinn, nephew of Sean Quinn Snr and former head of the IPG;
€15m termination payments for Sean Quinn Jnr;
€36m and an annual salary of about €560,000 for Karen Woods if her employment was terminated.
Niall McPartland, the solicitor husband of Ciara Quinn, had contracts for similar sums to that enjoyed by Ms Woods, the IBRC has claimed.
The contracts were signed weeks before the High Court issued orders, on June 27, 2011, banning any interference by the Quinns with their €500m international property group.
The IBRC says the new material shows Sean Quinn Jnr was aware of the "deliberate backdating" to June 15, 2011, of employment contracts generated on July 27, 2011 -- in favour of members of the Quinn family -- so it would appear they were created before the order of June 27, 2011.

the young lad must be close to perjury at this stage
BANKRUPT businessman Sean Quinn Senior had sworn his family were not involved in a controversial contract providing for a US$500,000 payment to a Ukranian woman but the Quinns had arranged for "huge" multi-million termination payments for themselves under similar contracts, the Supreme Court was told today.
Sean Quinn Junior had told the High Court the employment contracts could not be retrieved but a bank-appointed administrator to a Russian company in the family's international property group (IPG) had recently retrieved them from a deliberately smashed computer in the company's premises in Russia, Paul Gallagher SC said.http://www.independent.ie/business/i...t-3249835.htmlThe making of false statements by the Quinns in the HIgh Court proceedings should also be taken into account by the Supreme Court in considering whether that jailing decision should be upheld, he added.
In opposing the appeal, the bank claims it has undisputed evidence that, to remove monies from the IPG companies, the Quinns engaged in a "deliberate and complex fraud" of those companies which continued after court orders restraining asset stripping were made in summer 2011.

SQ Snr must be livid, between the lot of them they could not destroy a computer, the evidence just piles up and is damning, almost fantasy.
Will they be able to take an action v Anglo about being lent funds illegally, very doubtful, they are not fit to defend themselves and what legal firm would take them on as clients.
Yet the GAA are encouraging a rally in their local area by allowing ads over tannoy at local GAA matches.
The Supreme Court has reserved judgment in an appeal by Seán Quinn Jnr against his conviction and imprisonment for contempt of court.
No date for the judgement set as far as I know.

Must be near time for Sean Snr. to pull the ultimatre PR stroke, go on the telly, shed a few tears, ask for Jnr. to be set free and he will take his place.
Dont forget the next case coming up is where the family turn on Sean Snr. and say Anglo gave him the money to gamble on their shares ( in kinda unwritten cahoots together) and the family knew nothing about it, so a little separatio/distance would be in order.
Daddy tells the taxpayers to FOAD.

HMRC looking into the BIK issue that the Revenue has seemingly ignored
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is investigating millions spent by former billionaire Sean Quinn Snr using his credit card, flying his company jet and helicopter, and other benefits-in-kind he may have received leading the Quinn Group.
The probe by the UK taxman is looking at Quinn's spending over the five years 2005 to 2010 as it attempts to determine what personal perks the now bankrupt entrepreneur availed of and if tax was payable on them.http://www.independent.ie/business/i...s-3258520.htmlMr Quinn has responded at length but said he was hampered in his response by both lack of professional qualifications and the fact that his former empire, the Quinn Group, now had all his records.
"Down over the years, I always concentrated on building the Quinn Group business at a high level and I never got involved in the detail of my personal tax affairs," Mr Quinn told Mr Lehane. Mr Quinn said he relied on his group's accounts department and his auditors/tax advisers PWC to take care of such matters.
"I invariably took it for granted that those involved would ensure that all of my tax affairs were fully in order each year and I never had any reason to doubt that the situation would be otherwise," Mr Quinn wrote.
