I think there's more to this than "can't afford"... for example

Barrister Brian O'Moore informed the court that Eversheds solicitors will apply to officially come off record for the Quinns on Monday. He said the Quinn family accepts for a variety of reasons that Eversheds cannot continue to act in either of the two sets of proceedings involving IBRC, formerly Anglo Irish Bank.

Wonder what this variety was? Maybe some documents they've seen? Furthermore..

UPDATE 5.30pm: The Irish Bank Resolution Corporation has said it has made express provision for "reasonable legal expenses" for the Quinn family. It follows confirmation earlier that the family's solicitors will no longer represent them in their legal battle against the former Anglo Irish Bank.
The IBRC has issued a statement this evening saying although individuals within the family have had assets frozen, the institution has made express provision for the discharge of legal expenses.

Reading between the lines, it almost sounds as if the solicitors are walking, rater than being dismissed. Wonder if that's true, and if so why?

According to Angle/IBRC there's no problem with money for Daddy's legal representation.

High court hears memory sticks containing documents stolen when car broken into, 3 days after court order directing disclosure of docos.

It's not clear what documents relating to the #quinns were on the memory sticks. Receivers want quinns to clarify.
