Anglo seeks jailing of Quinn for contempt

Liberty Insurance of course are the real winners. They get a book of clients that have been bought by a company that was accruing clients illegally and building up debts the company could not afford to pay.

Of course they don,t get the debts. We get them and we never bought the company. In fact we never even took out a Quinn Insurance policy.

Why are liberty insurance allowed to make money out of us?

The day we stop paying bank debt is the day the worlds economy recovers.

Yet they claimed it was good news for Ireland. Great news for them more like.

I guess as he was made bankrupt in Dublin he would be unable to stand for the Dail. Nothing to stop him standing for the Northern Assembly though, I suppose

Quinn's daughter claims loans in breach of the law -

"It is now generally accepted that Anglo, with the consent and knowledge of the Central Bank, Regulator and Government, manipulated its share price in 2007 and 2008. The current management and Government have compounded this by enforcing loans that are in clear breach of Irish and EU law. People have been arrested over these loans and Anglo is still trying to stand over them."

Asked how much of the blame for the problems of Anglo Irish Bank she takes, she said: "Personally I take no blame, as I never sought any loans from Anglo, I never discussed these loans with anybody from Anglo, and I never received any money from Anglo.

The only thing these people seem to understand about the law is the fact that companies have separate legal personalities. But never try to explain to them anything about the duties of company directors or anything of that nature because they do not want to know.
