Noonan "angry" with Administrators. Come on Mickey - why would they start being right about anything just because the government changed?
http://www.independent.ie/national-n...n-3194298.htmlAn extraordinary dispute between Finance Minister Michael Noonan and the administrators running Quinn Insurance was revealed in court yesterday.
Details of the row emerged after the High Court demanded further information on how the cost of rescuing the company could have spiralled to more than €1.65bn.
In correspondence read out in court, Mr Noonan demanded to know how highly-paid administrators, actuaries and auditors could have so badly underestimated the size of the "black hole" at Quinn Insurance.
He also said he was concerned that the Government had been "misled by incomplete information and under-estimation".

- Friends of the Irish Environment, 28.04.2003"The land Coillte Teo is now selling for development was given to them by the State in 1988 to ensure that our woodlands were run commercially, not to enable them to sell the family silver to service bank loans".

It was almost certain to be worse than originally feared that is the way the debts we are saddled with are presented to us.
Is Noonan called Mickey? Really?
SF continues to support the Quinns. Fermanagh District Council, which has 9 SF members, has unanimously voted to send the family a letter of support.

There's a wonderful letter in today's IT from a Denis O'Donoghue fro Killarney.
"Sir, – My understanding of the distinction between Seán Quinn, his family and the Quinn Group is no greater than my understanding of the mystery of the Holy Trinity. However, I have observed that all the kudos for the creation of jobs and wealth attaches to Seán Quinn and his relatives while the responsibility for the huge debts, it is claimed, attaches to the Quinn Group."

A much more intelligent contribution than the one that precedes it in which the MD of a truck centre () who has some strange and confused idea that Quinn is being badly treated because his late mother served tea and bread & jam.
I'm starting to realize that these Quinn supporters are all of the same mindset. Fintan O'Toole described it as Us and Them.

Liberty Insurance of course are the real winners. They get a book of clients that have been bought by a company that was accruing clients illegally and building up debts the company could not afford to pay.
Of course they don,t get the debts. We get them and we never bought the company. In fact we never even took out a Quinn Insurance policy.
Why are liberty insurance allowed to make money out of us?
The day we stop paying bank debt is the day the worlds economy recovers.
