Well that should fix it !

It would be interesting to see a similar spread of pre-election front pages from every U.K. General Election going back.

How the heck did Labour ever get elected ?

Those front pages line up pretty much as I would have expected. Actually the Guardian has (if grudgingly) given some support to Corbyn in recent weeks.

The Daily Star is more even-handed than might be expected.

In my adult lifetime there has only been one Labour PM. Before that, there was Wilson. It would be interesting to take a look back to see what his contemporaneous media coverage was like.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement for the Tories from this columnist in the well-known Marxist-Leninist rag (joke) the Times.

Spare a thought for depressed Indo regular writers today . Their vista of endless neo-liberalism cramped, they are reduced to complaining of clueless (British) leaders all round . Though I actually believe the story of the islamic fundamentalist haven here. I mean we're a haven for corporate tax dodgers so hardly surprising that other bad guys are taking advantage of our laxness but on the front page and the British election relegated to page 14? A bit on the grim side, eh. I'm sure they have their own mutual benefit funds and whatnot, and will not be forced to resort to the ramshackle state mental health service, ah well. Hats off to Momentum and British Labour for wiping the smile off , etc
