Loopy Lucy won't be happy - Gump was using his phone instead of listening to Ratzinger.

It's not Loopy Lucy but Mary Lou who's peeved at Gump's game of Tetris.

Enda had an old gold coloured Nokia up until recently. Looks like the new iPhone is a big distraction. He was taking photos with it at the final on Sunday as well.

Mad Mish has jumped in to defend Gump using with his phone at the meeting with Ratzinger.

"Fine Gael Mayo TD Michelle Mulherin said Mr Kenny was probably accessing important information about his audience with Pope Benedict through his mobile."

    "Say nothing Taoiseach"

"Don't ask where he buys his frocks."

"No, your 'nigger' joke would not be appropriate."

Seems that Indo story claiming that Ken Drumm had to flee the country because of public hostility to his brother Brendan was completely untrue.

Wow! Something untrue in the Indo - The foundations of my world have been rocked.

There's nothing in Dail standing orders about Deputies behaving like arseholes outside the chamber.

Nice letter in the IT knocking down the recent very nasty attack on pensioners by Stephen Collins.

The GRA is in the High Court contesting a directive from the Commissioner that they say denies gardaí the right to communicate with their TDs.

Compared to other workers gardaí have very few rights. It would be very worrying if they were denied this basic right of any citizen of a democracy.

The indo has a piece on the sale of German WWII documents relating to their plabs for invading Ireland.

    http://www.independent.ie/national-n...y-3242018.html

The journalist mustn't have done history in school because he claims that the plan was called Operation Sealion. Sealion was the codename fro the invasion of Britain. The planned invasion of Ireland was codenamed Plan Green.

At the end of a piece on reports of SW fraud in the IT is the following little throw away remark from the minister for lifestyle choices:-

"She added expenditure on pensions “on a no policy change basis” will increase by at least €200 million next year because of the ageing population."

Looks like she's gearing up to hit pensioners in the budget.
