Economics are sometimes called as 'dismal science'. It could be both seen as a mixture of arts and science.

It's amusing to see many economists on the boom bandwagon got it completely wrong only for Morgan Kelly got the credit.

Rem Dan Mc Laughlin many 'ivory tower' predictions as he was out of touch with the realities.

Thought Morgan Kelly came out with reputation strongly intact. Honohan is a traitor as he's not impressive even worse though even after supporting FCT.

He's not seen as independent after speaking out as his position implies independence from the government.

Us authorities are facing a $20m law suit from a young lad they locked up and forgot about for 4 days. His lawyers say the treatment amounts to torture.

I thought the favoured US method of torture was water-boarding, not denial of water.

Water-boarding was a particular favourite of the former Vice-President but not of the current one, it seems.

Of course if she's being sincere rather than cynically beating the populist drum she will now gift to the state that portion of her salary that she believes to be "runaway extravagant".
