the Germans control europe now, there will be no collapse of the Euro
Well it was the Germans who predicted it all at military level long ago -

The link between peak oil, energy prices and recession are fairly logical. Recession is a by product exacerbated by the corrupt banking system.
Now we must wait and see how their predictions pan out - going as expected so far though.

Lyric FM has become a dumping ground for RTE DJs and RTE "personalities". Some programmes are now less about good music and more about the egos of these people. Some of the people in Lyric FM, however, really do know their music.
Good music transcends nations.'And that was Zadok the Priest' conducted by Sir Neville Marinner.

I know we're drifting off the point here but I do agree with you - I have no problems in that department. It's the cultural terrorists in our so-called state broadcaster and in such bastions (eg. the IT) I was referring to. It seems to me that their agenda is to frustrate the evolution of a true Irish identity at every turn and underpin the hegemony of the metropolis.
And yes, good music does transcend nations.
Roubini is right.... but he isn't. I would suspect that they'll just print their way out of trouble (159bn ain't much to those who have already printed north of £270bn). Alternatively, my even greater suspicion is that for an initially loose federal structure, also to be offered to Mr. Salmond and colleagues perhaps, they will simply agree to let us use sterling and take over all our banks, and Nama in return for rejoining the commonwealth etc. Preferred access to land, forestry, wind, ag products, you name it. And they would also, as an added bonus, have sunk the good ship EU....
As for the GFA, forget it, they'd need a new agreement. Which would no doubt be forthcoming ASAP as the ATMs and oil supply dried up. In fact, I wouldn't be at all surprised if there aren't high level contingency discussions taking place at the mo'... seems like Enda was one of the first people Dave called after Treatygate.

Could be just what we need - considering we are happy to allow sustainable development pass by. I have to continuously refer to British practice for local progress.
I reckon if we defaulted tomorrow - fuel ran dry - international trade down - we would burn every tree on the island. We probably need someone to nurture us down the sustainable route and create alternatives we are too blinded to bother with.
