    Yesterday there was a very energetic demonstrationfrom Parnell Square to the GPO, via Trinity of people supporting the main opposition candidate in the Democratic Republic of Congo Elections, and demonstrating for peace.

    These elections are on tomorrow.

    President Joseph Kabila was a military leader who came to power aged 25 and is associated with use of child soldiers.

    Millions of people have died in virtually unreported war in the DR Congo. Resource-plundering by armed groups is widespread.
