With the site continuing to grow. I though it might be a good idea to have thread for the stuff we would like to share. The up to the minute nature of some of the rolling threads means plenty of good stuff gets lost and this will probably get worse as the pace of site quickens. We can't check every post and link and are probably all guilty of missing out.

So in here, anything you think everyone should have a look at, be it blogpost, opinion piece, podcast, academic paper, report and so on.

One item per post and only post something special you genuinely think is worth at look. We have a good mix of posters here now so I look forward seeing with we come up with. There is some great stuff out there among the cesspool of rubbish and hopeful we can each act as a filter and share something worth checking out. We can discuss everything here and anything that grows legs can get thread of it's own.

All I ask is that we set our own standard and make an effort to check out what's posted.

To get the ball rolling I have Stephen Nolan's show on 5live last Sunday. The topic was poverty in the UK and there was an excellent back and forth between Owen Jones and surely one of everyone's favourites, Edwina Currie. Jones is former trade unionist and MP's assistant, he had a very interesting book on "Chavs" and the demonization of the working class published this year and Edwina is well, a Tory.

I signed up to twitter and one of the first accounts I came across it latino rebels. Great bunch as they have retweeted a lot of posts from here that I asked them to, have a rake of information from things from a Hispainic perspective and post a lot informative links and were especially great during the occupy protest. They did a lot of tweeting about the Miami Occupy Protest . Thought would throw that one out there , looking forward to reading more about blogs etc.

Good paper here from the UCD Geary Institute. I highlight it because they actually went to the bother of going out and finding (gasp!) real life unemployed people. Some really interesting stuff in here that is completely absent from the national debate. The knock on mental effects of the unemployment problem is equal to the mortgage crisis imo and will probably have a longer legacy.
