In a PR system there's always a hierarchy.

It's everyone for themselves when it comes to politics. Politics is about serving the public interest not the other way round.
That is what politics should be about. But with the FF mob, it is ALWAYS party first and to hell with the country. THis credo was displayed with revolting regularity during the life of the last government. Basically any party which prepared to commit trseason and sell out our national economic sovereignty in order to bail out their mates in the banking and building sector deserves a long period of incarceration at a minimum. Instead, in Ireland, these criminals get gold-plated pensions. Pitiful.

Baron showing the FF colours again. Not surprising from someone who prefers the status quo. Well put it this way, FF are irreversibly damaged so we've progressed. Labour will be next, and that will leave only FG, the true party of Oireland Inc. who never had a catch all base and never hid their near fascist economic views. So we're looking at a slow death grind of the system itself. Irish voters are slow, but we're getting there. Well, Baron isn't, but the rest of us are copping on.

Unfortunately the pace is glacial. Slow really is the word for it. Never reckon that it will change enough for you and plan your life in the grim assumption that nothing will change enough for you for you to be happy with it. There are still far too many people who believe politics is all about strokes, pork and patronage. If the 2011 election proved anything, it proved that criminal shysters who commit treason do not get the jail they deserve but gold-plated pensions.
