BTW will there be a 'third debate' thread?

McGuinness: Ian Paisley/Peter Robinson.
Mitchell: CIE, humble/hard upbringing.

Half a bottle of drain cleaner for each of the above.

Considering Gallagher managed to use the "E" word 15 times in 10 mins on the Late Late debate, this could get very messy, very quickly.

Prepare to sleep on the sofa folks...

First major question - Will Michael D be boxing clever tonight?

Baron von Biffo
12-10-2011, 08:40 PM
2011 had much more potential to test a presidents use of Article 13.2

Baron von Biffo
12-10-2011, 08:41 PM
Davis has a granite neck. She's claiming a lot of knowledge of Article 26 despite being caught out as utterly clueless on it earlier in the campaign.

Griska
12-10-2011, 08:41 PM
Mary Davis on the front foot early.
She's asked to come up with a hypothetical situation and responds by pointing out to Miriam that she's talking about a hypothetical situ............

Jesus.

Baron von Biffo
12-10-2011, 08:42 PM
McGuinness thinks Article 26 is a mechanism for resolving disputes between the president and the government.

A former Taoiseach in Drumcondra may dispute that

Dana delivered well. I may not last the debate to the end.

O'Callaghan is acting as though she is putting her teenage kids through grinds.

"And do you all agree on this?"

Bonus shot for McGuinness telling Miriam she asked a stupid question!

Andrew49
12-10-2011, 09:09 PM
Dana and McGuinness seem to be the only non-Establishment candidates!

We never got to ask the participants of the Civil War on the killings they took part in or supported. In 20 years time McGuinness will be regarded as a respected statesman ... Dana will be remembered for winning the Eurovision.

Norris looks diminished, he's lively enough but .....

Shameless grab for the FF vote by Mitchell :D

Seriously. My feelings about Labour have been aired here numerous times, but I have to say that Higgins is the only person there who even comes close to appearing like the real deal.

There was a little uncomfortable silence when Miriam asked them to get dirty and negative with each other:D

Baron von Biffo
12-10-2011, 09:19 PM
It started well with questions about the actual powers of the presidency rather than the woolly headed sh!te that's gone on up to now. Alas it's become a shambles at this stage as O'Callaghan adopts Mary Wilson's style of 'Shut up and listen to me when I'm interviewing you.'

RTE should be using Sean O'Rourke or Rachael English for things like this.

Dana got the nod from some Yank clerical officer before taking an oath to renounce her allegiance to Ireland. It's ok then.

Andrew49

I doubt very much that Mary Robinson had this kind of thing in mind when she invented the office of the President of Ireland in 1990.
Is that it with the debates?
I mean how many times can seven people get together and say nothing?
