1:30pm – Meet on Patrick St near Murray’s and the Body Shop for a stall to advertise our public meeting on 12 July at the Metropole Hotel at 8pm (on the issue of the threatened pay cuts for workers covered by the JLCs and REA agreements) and to visit workplaces on the issue.
3:00pm – Participate in the protest against the SNA cuts called by the Special Needs Assistants and Parents group
4:00pm – Informal ULA members discussion in the Spailpin Fanach pub to discuss the recent ULA National Forum
When are the IMF agents coming over ?
It's certainly important to have widespread protests, but if the dates co-incide I think it is more important that Dublin is concetrated on so that the point is driven home to our gracious 'benefactors.'

The national demonstration against the IMF/EU is on Saturday 16 July in Dublin (with events in the week leading up to taht) and I am pretty sure the Cork ULA branch will be encouraging all members and supporters to get up to Dublin for that demo. As it stands there are no plans to have any street stalls, or other activity, in Cork on that weekend and I would be very surprised if the local steering committee was to organise anything new in Cork for that day.

Cheers for that.
Shame 'Siptu' don't have the balls to call a strike and march on whatever day the IMF meetings take place, which will surely be a weekday.

As it turned out the Dublin demonstration on 16 July was a complete non-event from a ULA point of view...
