Showtime have produced a series based on the Borgia family, (http://www.sho.com/site/borgias/home.sho) created by Neil Jordan. It's a Candian-Hungarian-Irish production and is currently at episode 6 in a 10 part first series. Showtime have commissioned a second series and what I have seen so far has been extremely good. Obviously to watch the series you have to download or stream it at the moment and I would expect it to be on satellite rather than terrestial TV when it airs here. It's well worth the bandwidth imo
