He owns land in East Meath(a few miles from where I am in Julianstown, he owns land in the Stamullen and Gormanston area) as well as land in North Dublin-all over it really. His private practice will benefit from himself being a doctor as minister for health. He claimed 32k in travel expenses a year or two ago when it costs 22.50 a month for a monthly train commuter ticket form his home in Rush, or 15.70 by good auld Dublin Bus about 8-12 auld Irish mile from the city centre. He made a killing from property, a builder or two told me, and then he got into debt a bit in 2008 and cant sell half his unworked on land now. Report him to NAMA?? :D ;) Seriously though anyone who voted FG was seriously deluded. The best bet is always a new candidate of a new movement like Autonomy Ireland which started up in me area recently, or the ULA or so on depending on who ye agree with and what for :)

He always struck me as a lazy, selfish snake and I said so to anyone who would listen before the election.

For the record:

THE NEW Minister for Health Dr James Reilly will not be in receipt of any income from State schemes including the medical card scheme while he is a member of the Government, his spokesman said yesterday.
He said another doctor would take over Dr Reilly’s GP large medical practice in Lusk in north Dublin so as to ensure no conflict of interest arose for the new Minister, who has major plans for the reform of the country’s primary care system.

sure, cos o'reilly would really want a HSE medical card with all the q's, waiting lists and people dying on trolleys, the unbuilt CF units and lack of promised beds in the new one. Oh yes...I can see how a practicing private doctor and govt minister would be tempted by that what with years of health cuts and deaths as a result of them ahead ;)
