A by-election in Dromore in 2008 saw UUP candidate Carol Black hold the seat despite only getting 24% of 1st prefs as opposed to the DUP's 28%.

The TUV did the damage to the DUP here and a repeat would see them take a seat comfortably.

Sinn Féin gained their first ever seat in Banbridge in 2005 when Dessie Ward was elected but he resigned from the party last year.
