Can Sinn Fein win 11 Council seats in Fermanagh this time around? They hold five at the minute.
It would be an amazing feat if they did, but my guess is they will win nine.

What would lead you to believe that it's possible for SF to take 11 seats? How many seats are there in total?

4 Wards in this council
Erne West
Erne North
Erne East
Enniskilen
Current state of the parties;
Sinn Féin - 6
Ulster Unionist - 5
SDLP - 5
DUP - 4
IND - 3
Sinn Féin had 9 here but had 3 resignations.
The SDLP didn't win many friends in the Nationalist community by going up against SF and a Unionist Unity candidate.
Can the UUP maintain their rare advantage over the DUP?
Could be an interesting election here, surely one of the best chances for an anti-GFA Republican.

Bernice Swift could well be running as a Republican candidate in Earne West.

Former Sinn Fein councillor Donal O’Cofaigh is running as a Socialist Party Candidate for his old council seat (he resigned from the council seat when he resigned from Sinn Fein)
Donal O’Cofaigh works as an advisor to community groups across Fermanagh. Donal made headlines in 2009 when he resigned his seat on Fermanagh District Council and from Sinn Fein out of disgust with the right-wing policies being carried out by the Sinn Fein together with the other parties in the Executive. Donal has proven to be a principled fighter for ordinary people by resigning his seat and a potential career to instead help build a socialist alternative for ordinary people.

Donal standing in the Enniskillen ward. Tough task here with, as well as the usual suspects, 3 INDs, a Green and 1 of those most elusive of political animals, an Alliance candidate west of the Bann. Full list of Enniskillen candidates here;

Erne East Sinn Fein Council Candidates are not using posters in this ward as a trial to see if posters are a waste of money. They have a great chance for getting all four Sinn Fein candidates elected unless the poster gamble goes wrong.

Also Pat Cox is the only former Sinn Fein Candidate likely to come close to winning a seat in the Fermanagh Council. If I were a betting man, I'd bet against any of the former Sinn Fein candidates getting elected.

Ok, so i thought Cox would be the one to come close. Swift won a seat due to her hard work in the council but clearly the results show that most of her voters also voted for Phil Flanagan the Sinn Fein candidate in the Assembly election.
I did say Sinn Fein would win 9 council seats and the 3 MLA seats. Right on all counts. :)

How can you deduce that vote for one person in a council election equates to a vote for another in a Stormont election? You do realise, don't you, that some people only voted in the councils? I'm not dismissing what you say out of hand but you must realise that it's a very presumptious statement. Also I think the reason that you expected Cox to come close was that he hasn't really said anything contrary to PSF policy and was a shinner in all but name. The fact that it was Swift whose opposition to PSF is well known and documented who was actually elected should give you pause for thought.

All I'm saying is that the figures show that unless 6-700 people came out in Erne West and voted Sinn Fein in the Assembly elections and then didn't vote for anyone in the Council Elections then I'm rite in my analysis. If you were at the count you'd have seen that on two thirds of Swifts ballot papers the 2,3,and 4's were for the Sinn Fein candidates.
My reading into that is that those voters gave Sinn Fein their vote in the Assembly and Swift their number one in the Council election.
