Too many private messages

Maybe I'm just an old grump but I think Politicalworld.org are sending out too many private messages. On other forums (P.ie dare I mention it) - you only get messages on rare occasions. Here you get them all the time. Can I opt out of gettting all but essential messages because my message box here is getting full and my email is also filling up with them.

I send out a pm either once or twice a week with latest posts and any site news.

Some people like them and others don't and opt out through their user CPs

I can create a group who only get "Important Messages" and put you into it.

Next time I send out a pm :D I'll invite anyone who would like to be on an "Urgent and important messages only" list can pm me to let me know.

The people I feel sorry for are the banned, who still get messages. Sometimes I forget to take them off the list of members....

I don't mind a weekly pm.

Email can be such a nuisance and often is, but now and again a special one arrives.

One from "Baby Doll" movie star Carol Baker was one. Another was from Brenda Lee!

Anyone else here get a special email?
