No folks, you haven't wandered onto the set of the remake of the Witchfinder General, nor have you stumbled into a discussion on Matthew Hopkins in the History Forum! No this is happening now.
The 'sorceror' Ali Hussain Sibat hosted a television program airing on a satellite channel based in Beirut where he would give 'advice' to callers-in and 'predict' their future. He was arrested by Saudi religious police and charged with sorcery in May 2008 while visiting the country to perform Umra, the Islamic religious pilgrimage. An Egyptian working as a pharmacist in Saudi Arabia was executed in 2007 after having been found guilty of using sorcery to try to separate a married couple.
The execution of Ali Hussain Sibat is expected in the next few days, executions in Saudi Arabia are often carried out with little warning.

He is also Lebanese the Saudis are free an easy killing people with no connection to their country, they have also violated the pilgrimage.
The guy is an entertainer I wonder did he give one of the Saudi royal family a bad tip for his gee gees when they phoned in ?
There is nothing more hypocritical than the Saudis , I know for a fact that their uber bosses on holidays fly in fresh whores on weekly basis when cruising around the Med, no names or they will get me when I do the Haj

Amazing country with amazing rulers. They dictate the morals of the whole nation and religion both within it's borders and without! And behind it all they appear to be total hypocrites.
My partner has been to meetings on inter-faith dialogue last year and the year before and met people from all the Abrahamic faiths. I volunteered to go to the meeting in Cavan Town - mainly because I wanted to see Archbishop McQuaid territory and to visit an orphanage in which 35 children were burned to death - one of the girls who died was sister of one of my friends (now deceased) and who had never visited the site where his sister lost her life.
Surprisingly none of the Muslims had horns on their heads and I didn't detect any intolerance from them. One of the highpoints/lowpoints of the meeting - which went on over a weekend in Cavan - was the walkout of one Roman Catholic in protest at the refusal of the Islamic faith to recognise the divinity of Jesus!
I found the Muslims would probably make good companions on a fishing weekend and two of them told me that Saudi Arabians wouldn't turn up at such an inter-faith meeting!

A Lebanese man sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia for sorcery has been given a temporary reprieve, his lawyer says. Ali Sabat's execution was scheduled for Friday but his lawyer, May el-Khansa, told the BBC she had been assured by a Lebanese minister it would not happen. Mr Sabat was the host of a satellite TV programme in which he predicted the future.

I am against the death penalty for any offense.
Future predictors are an awful shower of charlatans though. It's not so much the predictions as the silly suggestion that everything is preordained and decided.
saudi is the kip of kips, absolute scum run it, racist, violent, greedy and ignorant. They are the forengi of the human race. The leaders of that country deserve all they get when the oil runs out, they will be sitting in the dessert, alone, surrounded by well armed enemies.
future readers con men, ones that visits saudi are foolish ones.

Can we send some government officials on a "trade delegation" to Saudi Arabia and plant some Tarot Cards in their baggage?
we could just send certain female minister again, and she will tell them about her "arse" again as she did in the UAE.
