"FINE GAEL is on course to take three seats in Cork South Central, dealing a hammer blow to Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin’s hopes of bringing in his running mate.

An Irish Examiner-Red C poll reveals sitting Fine Gael TD Simon Coveney is set to top the poll, relegating Mr Martin to second place for the first time since the 1992 election.

The body blow to Mr Martin comes as a separate poll shows national support for Fianna Fáil has crumbled to 12%, down four points since the start of the campaign and indicating that the Fianna Fáil leader has failed to turn the party’s fortunes around."

So there we have it ... if this Poll is to be believed FF are in dire trouble. The leader of FF will not be able to bring in his running mate potentially and that should be mirrored in meltdown around the country. Cork North Central is already showing signs of the sole FF Candidate and Min for State Billy Kelleher being in trouble as per the front page Evening Echo article in Cork. In addition, there is the possibility that Cork South West may also return no FF Seat.

aww shucks.

tbh, nobody gives a sh*t. I tell you what's in meltdown: the whole feckin' country.

and you have nothing better to do than bemoaning Micheál Martin's "misery"? ;)

think severance pay and party donations in de missus' bank account and tell me again about greedy Micheál's "misery".

I suspect that Martin always intended to be a temporary/interim leader of FF anyway and expect him to stand down into retirement after a grace period following the impending battering.

Apparently Mary Fitzpatrick in da Bert's auld constituency is being asked what she is doing still being a member of FF.

She's one of the few that might get elected though; she'll benefit from the fact that bertie wanted her kept out.

I give a *****! I am great believer in fair play and not kickin a man when he is down, but in FF case they cannot be kicked enough. Don't get complacent, kick this langer, and what he represents all over the country hard.

In addition to a good kicking, FF needs to be squashed, buried and a stake driven through it's toxic heart .... only then can this country have any hope of being free of it's disease

Extactly your point which i completely agree with. FF deserves to be kicked a lot harder and squeezed tightly to the last drop in order feel the real pain.:D

They don't get it re their previous arrogant & haughty speeches.

They'll never get it. They will die in complete ignorance of their own obnoxious personalities.
