Rafael Farino, a past employee at the central bank was jailed for 4 years and fined only 5000 Eur after having been convicted for having downloaded hundreds of thousands of child porn images.

He spent ten years downloading the images, storing them at work - a senior administrative officer - and we wonder why the central bank did nothing about Anglo et al when they cannot seem to monitor their own computer systems.

It's a curious one given the fact that Central bank computer systems are designed to block these or any inappropiate websites such as porn or betting. It only highlights that they have no defensive firewall or block when it comes such as this one.


These inappropiate websites are addictive for some people who have addictive urges which they couldn't help it. I recall one guy who smoked loads of hash and drank loads of beer. He was an addictive guy when it came to computers re porn or soccer. I tried to tell him to come off these sites which wasn't healthy or sick in mind.

Ten years too long as it does suggest that the Central bank computer systems aren't updated or ill -equipped ... more likely unprepared for any cyber attack if possible.
