The constituency was modified in 2009 to move Kells and it's hinterland into Meath-East. I haven't seen an up to date map anywhere yet.

It's in the report of the Commission, linked to post on of the Constituency Boundaries thread. I hope to be able to post the revised maps in the next couple of days.

Sorry if this is the wrong thread but what constituency does Mullingar fall into?

RTE reporting from the Count

SF - 17.3% (Dep Mayor of Navan)
Labour 13%
Damien English FG 23%

Looking like 2 FG seats plus Sinn Fein.

Meath West: Christian Solidarity Party's Manus McMeanmain says he's very unhappy that his party logo wasn't on the ballot paper and was instead represented by an image that he claims looks like a picture of nuts.

An accurate image so...

Just back from the count centre after the 1st pref' tally. 2 x FG plus 1 x SF likely, though still a possibility of Labour taking that 3rd seat.

Poor result for the WP coming bottom of the poll. Perhaps the working class and small farmers of Meath-West aren't quite ready to embrace class consciousness yet! I think it's unfair to suggest that turkeys are voting for christmas by returning 2 FG TDs, but clearly the message that FG=FF hasn't sunk in yet, although it will do soon enough. That FF have lost both their seats, and that either SF or the LP will return a TD, these are positive signs. The campaign for the next general election begins today...
