20,000 out on the streets in Tirana in "Tunisia style" pro-socialist, anti corruption movement. Out in Algeria too - I'll try to find video.

The Albanian ruling class is preparing for serious ructions on a protest tomorrow. The PM Berisha has been talking with the army about making preparations for tomorrows demonstration and has said anyone who approaches a military installation will be shot. This is following protests on the 21st which he said were a coup attempt, citing foreign intelligence services.

Interesting. Tomorrows demonstration and how that passes off will be a determinant of the mood on the ground in Tirana.

Demonstrations are still going on - France 24 reports there will be an enquiry into the shootings of 3 demonstrators.

There are massive peaceful demonstrations demanding a fresh general election.
