It would seem some Tory backbenchers have lost trust in David Cameron after he backtracked on his promise to hold a Referendum on the Lisbon Treaty.

Eurosceptic Conservatives are angry about the controversial European Union Bill saying it fails to give MPs the power to ask for a referendum on any future transfers of powers to the European Union.

The Tory rebels have even warned they may vote down the legislation if the government does not accept their proposed amendment to the bill with Labour leader Ed Miliband also saying his party will oppose the bill.

The push by Tory backbenchers follows their loss of trust to Cameron after he went back on his promise to hold a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty.
