Bono has significant business connections with the American military, just like Ganley yet we never seem to hear about them.

His / U2's music is regularly used in the propaganda sequences which replace commercials on American Armed Forces Network which is broadcast worldwide. This is obviously done under license, there's no way Bono was meeting Bush in the white house without knowing that; indeed it may have been one of the many reasons why Bono was meeting Bush in the white house.

Then there is his investment company Elevation Partners (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elevation_Partners) which in 2004 bought and merged video game developers BioWare and Pandemic Studios which make combat simulators for the US military.

I have read this with interest before. Bono is a musical Bush.

I read with interest too.

"The Joshua Tree" seemed redolent of the odd form of Christianity espoused by parts of the right wing in the US.

No great surprise as a political evolution.

Bono was born again in the late 70s early 80s , the October album is his version of a Saved by Dylan.

They had a preacher in a house up on Collins ave,

He certainly favours the evangelical approach to taxes.

Sounds like he's finally found what he's looking for. His level.

You've probably all heard this. He was preaching at a U2 show and said "everytime I click my fingers, a child in Africa dies". Some genius advised him to stop clicking his fcuking fingers. Classic.

I've always been irritated by him and his bullsh1t, but I came to hate him the day he stood on a podium with Putin and Blair at a G8 summit- Genoa I think. At the same time the police were shooting protesters. Rock n' Roll Bono!

I've also read about his links to military and am not surprised.

What can one say other than reality uncovered. Sad really but inevitable. I nealy felt like the great unwashed when he pontificated, but I guess it was the other way round.

It's not begrudgery that's the problem, it is little pompous gits that sets themselves up to lecture others, let him click his fingers as many times as he likes the kids are still going to die while he keeps his millions off shore so he does not have to pay his contribution to anything. EG. Parasites. And we have them in this country in abundance.

Ah ridicule another tool of the begrudgers!

Is this the extent of your contribution to the debate? Do you not wish to challenge the assertion that Bono is a hypocrite or do you merely wish to hide behind the feeble and tired tool of namecalling?
