I tried everywhere as regards to delete my accounts tab.
I couldn't find any thing that allow me to delete my account.
I decided to leave this forum as i have my reasons for it. I understand that i am not the only one there.

No i didn't get any abuse.
I thought it was time for me to go as i realised it was enough. It's time for me to get out as i loved outdoors. It's unhealthy to be in the computer staring at the screen.:D:D:D

That might be a reason to spend a little less time on here. It is not a reason to leave so I for one am refusing your request to leave.

Hi disability student. I am laughing here as this thought was in my mind earlier today - that some people might want to take enforced breaks.
I have locked people out of this forum when they have asked because they are studying for exams and was wondering about some kind of time limit too.
But if you need me to lock you out, no problem.
Of course you would be very much missed if you did go.

Can you not recall how you managed when you faced the same problem in the neighbouring parish?

I too have cut back on posting. No gripes about the site though, it is just that I am homeschooling a 12 year old boy which entails a lot of computer time in and of itself.
I used to post on the future economic doom and now it has landed. The future I see is too dire for 99% of the readers to believe so I will not bother except on my own site.
I don't mind being banned for what did poor Charles do to get banned except get a bit bothered with me. Is that not what fora are for. And Moss who took a dislike to me, what happened to him. And Digout who wears his heart on his arm and gave so much.
What happened to Lifeisagame. A managing director of a company that was banned. I can't imaginehim being offensive. A quality poster imo

I did that for someone who remain nameless as he left it. He didn't want to make a move first as i took the risk to post it for him while expecting lot of flak.
It was spur of the moment as i follow my instincts.

What a sad roll call of the lost and the damned....:( ;)
Charles's banning was not to do with anything he said to you, Youngdan. Digout doesn't want to be here and has made that clear and didn't accept the forum's obligations to carry only legal postings. Many a long hour was spent trying to keep him on board. Also, with Moss, every effort was made.
I don't know about Charles, but for the others, banning was not a new experience. Some people don't want to compromise in what they say in any way. They have the choice of doing what you (and I) did, and setting up their own site.

Well what happened to Lifeisagame. He was a gent and would not post anything that would legally endanger the site, I never saw him say a nasty comment, actually he took vicious abuse elsewhere from donkeys that he probably would not hire to sweep the floor in real life without replying in kind.
Granted Moss was offensive but what about it. A someone described fora, they are just talk shops

Look on the bright side DS.
At least you were not asked if the 10 year rate would stay in the 5.90 to 6.05% range for a while.
This question was posed by the biggest eejit on any site today.
Some posters should not be allowed to post on topics they know nothing about

If someone has exams, and wants a lock out, no problem. It's up to them what they do after that.

Hi Lads,
Don't want to be locked out myself but have to say have become very disillusioned lately, posted a thread which could only have been themed light hearted on the So Who Do You Think You Are? theme and there was a general lack of interest which is fine!! but then it's the posts that bring it back to "selfishness and whatever" that ruin it for everyone else, people don't know how to reply to that to they, you'll see what I mean if you refer to my thread.
It seems at any attempt to bring a lighthearted discussion in to this forum is scuppered by either the doom and gloomers or a general lack of disinterest, I am going to try another forum and see how I get on. BTW Cactus and Sidewinder and Antiestasblishterian I always enjoy your posts very entertaining and informative even if I don't agree with them. They are the reason I sign on this site!!!

Jaysus I told you ANTIESTABLISHTARIAN, that it was a mouthful and I still can't get my tonsils around it, and I know I've got it wrong again, and seriously I'm not a bad speller, but that one floors me!!!

Extactly.
I wanted to delete my account for a while and come back.I realised that it would be better to leave it there or locked out for some time.
I don't want to spend too much time there as i wanted to pursue other interests. Speaking of addiction as someone mentioned it there, there are various guises of addiction such as computer, cars, drink, food or anything that would demand of your complete attention (addiction).
I know for some people it's difficult issue to tackle any addiction whether is it drink (common) or anything that obessess you. It can be tackled and dealt with. That is not the biggest issue out there but suicide which was/is very sad.

I'm glad your sticking around for the weekend. We must open the Sibín so you can go out with a bang :D:D
On suicide - the Samaritans say everyone should be able to get help (http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/ireland/2010/0910/1224278569735.html)

Funny enough i couldn't register my student account today as they rejected my login several times to complete my registration. It took me two hours of failure to several login's so i gave up and emailed student help desk to sort it out before Monday.

Why is the FF/GP govt not listening to many cries of people out there?? I had to give out names of Mental health professionals to some of the people in this forum and other forum as well. It must be very bad now compared to years ago.
The other issue of that problem was huge cutbacks in the area of mental health.

If you have some information that you could pass on, we should set up a thread for it. Politicians aren't listening because frankly it would suit them if a pile of us was dead. Once people realise that, perhaps there will be fewer suicides because people will get angry instead of distressed.
