View Full Version : Trevor Sargeant Confirms He Intervened in Legal Case

The Green Party and Trevor Sargeant (Minister of State) have confirmed that he intervened in a criminal prosecution in his constituency.

He attempted to get a summons dropped. The case went to court and a conviction was secured.

The details of the case seem almost immaterial. We have apparently reached a point at which a new scandal will attach itself to a Government Minister at least once a week until this Government falls.

Do you have any links for this? If it's true then he's a gonner. Absolutely unacceptable behavior.
I would hope for a criminal investigation, but won't hold my breath.

The source was RTE News, lunchtime. Not published yet, I don't think.
It confirms the impression of the Greens as FF Lite. Ethics were never a sound basis for differentiation between parties. It only takes one slip...
