Conor Lenihan spinning for FF
He wasn't exactly spinning for the brothers dapt. today:-
The Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology, Conor Lenihan, has criticised the Department of Finance over its approach to research and development.
He said that sometimes the Department of Finance does not get the link between research and development and economic recovery and he said that just because the Minister, Brian Lenihan, is his brother, this does not mean that he listens to him.

After having burnt off money as though it was municipal waste, the D o F has reverted to 1980s type of saving pennies to lose pounds.
Academic woman being allowed to waffle.

Do we really need another charismatic populist leader?
Look where Bertie left us, up sh*t creek without a paddle.
It would be nice if we had an Oireachtas full of professionals (not teachers, lawyers).

Actually Lenihan is a perfect example of what's wrong with politics, this guy is minister for what innovation, tech? The guy's never invented anything in his life, he's totally low-tech.
Conor thinks cheap credit is to blame.
FF could have stopped some tax breaks.
Anglo was forced (by competition) to get into property lending in a big way.

Trivia of the day. Conor Lenihan met his wife Denise Russell in Prague at an Irish Trade Board dinner in 1992. He had been sent over to what was then Czechoslovakia by Denis O'Brien whom he worked with for 10 years, ending up as a senior executive in Esat Digiphone.

Anybody know if Sean Fitzpatrick's son is still working with Denis O'Brien?

That article spoiled my day!Who writes muck like this and actually gets paid for it? These miserable and incompetent politicians deserve more scorn that this sort of slush.
Thankfully the idiot had three kids who will in two or three years time will be able to help this innovation minister to use his mobile phone! :D
CF, you should make quoting from the Independent a banning offence!
We all know it it low grade journalism and pure FF apologism but please remove the temptation.
