Eamon Ryan has confimed on TV3 that there was a deal for Ciaran Cuffe to replace Gormley as Minister.

Its only a day or two since Dan Boyle, Party Oracle, stated his preference for Gormley staying in the job. Where will the roundabout stop? And will this destabilise the Green's mission to stay in Government.

A Green Party Minister has today confirmed there was a deal to rotate the party's representatives in Cabinet halfway through the life of the present Government.

Communications Minister Eamon Ryan has confirmed to TV3 that its story that John Gormley would be replaced by Ciaran Cuffe in the forthcoming Cabinet reshuffle as part of the pre-arranged deal is accurate.

I would love to be a fly on the wall in the discussions in the Green Party right now.

Gormley gives no impression of wanting to revolve in any direction.

This mean Ryan was telling fibs last week?

I dont think Gormless cares about the Green party, he is now an FFer to the very core.

He looked very ratty on the news when asked about it, leaving office must not appeal...

Let us be straight, the Greens are NOT a Political Party in the true sense. They are a Group of misfits that never did fit in life with their peers as they were growing up. So they decided that they were going to SAVE the world for all us idiots. Now they are like that TV program "are you smarter than a ten year old" only they are actually the ten your olds who squeal "me me me me" when the contestent has to select one.
Picture the scene outside Biffo's office when he is doing his soft shoe shuffle and they are all in the corridor going "me me me me"
Life is sad, when you have to pick from one of those misfits that would not be good enough to be selected as a ten year old. Maybe Jackie The Cap Healy Rae might throw his cap in the ring and be next Tanaiste, poor ould Mary is bunched.
Rumour has it that O'Leary has given her a job as Director of HR with a project of keeping staffing levels down, it is reckoned nobody in the country could keep as many people unemployed as she can. So her target is to get the Pilot to sell drink to the passengers while he is on auto-pilot, thereby eliminating cabin crew.
Imagine what it is going to be like when Gilmore and the Quiff Kenny are trying to both sit in the same chair. It will be like Germans staying up all night on a holiday resort just to get their towels on the best sun bed.:D
Ahh well:eek:

Well they did not even buy the idea of having a "leader" until recently.

I mean this is from the school of thought that nobody wins a race in school because we are all winners.

A minister is an executive leader of a department, if you don't like that idea don't seek the job. If you are not the best in your party for that role, step aside. Sharing it about so nobody loses is an insult really. We deserve to have competition for these positions.

By the way FF are in no position to criticise them considering nobody had the balls to ask for the leadership of that party when it came up for grabs.

Job sharing can work. Why doesn't one of them do the mornings up to 1 a.m. and the other do the evenings ?

Christ, I hope they're not reading this. They would probably go for it.

I suspect that Cuffe is about to get shafted. It's obvious that this deal was made in 2007, but It's not possible to go through with it now. The beans have been spilled. Cuffe is going to have to take one for the team.

HEY MA THEY SAID I AM A ROTATING GREEN TEAM AND THE DICTIONARY SAYS IT MEANS THIS ABOUT THE TEAM BIT:
A team comprises a group of people or animals:p linked in a common purpose. Teams are especially appropriate for conducting tasks that are high in complexity and have many interdependent subtasks.

A group in itself does not necessarily constitute a team. Teams normally have members with complementary skills and generate synergy through a coordinated effort which allows each member to maximize his or her strengths and minimize his or her weaknesses. It also states that Mary Coughlan has joined the Greens on condition the latter part of previous sentence is applied to her.

WHAT WILL I DO NOW MA EH Ma EH ma, Oh crap now she is gone too.

Ps Xray, any chance of you nipping over to Tallaght Hospital?

If Gormley leaves his position how can the Greens keep him as leader?

They could revert to not having leaders.

:) I didn't see the news. Funny post Xray.

Although, I don't know why I'm laughing. If they are actually going to go through with this it shows a horrendous level of disrespect for our democracy.
We shouldn't be surprised, though. Dan Boyle is happy to collect a Senators wages having been rejected by his constituents twice in 25 months.

The rotation has not been revolved. Cuffe's supporters have dug in. Gormely will have to ask for a junior Ministry, while the word is that FF don't want a thing given away to the Greens.

Is internercine warfare more likely to break up the Coalition that issues of Green principles ?
